I am a writer and a librarian.

I grew up in the Bronx, New York City and Columbus, Georgia before settling in Ontario, Canada.

This page and these words I write cannot truly express my love and obsession with people, books, and information.

Well, perhaps my education background might demonstrate just a little bit about how passionate I am about books (in all shape, size, and format).

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Professional Writing: Book Publishing Stream from York University. I obtained my Master of Information from the University of Toronto’s iSchool with a concentration in Library and Information Science.

I work part-time for the Hamilton Public Library, where I get to indulge myself in my love for books and meet new and interesting people.

I finally started introducing myself as a poet, publisher, and author instead of someone who writes poetry and love publishing books.

My dream is to one day have a position where I can use my knowledge of the publishing industry to create better relations (and better contract deals, especially with e-books) for public libraries.

I am a big believer of the community-led library philosophy, and recognize that the future of the library is not assuming what the community wants, but rather asking what the library can do for its community.
